Technician was professional - was masked with gloves and coverings on feet (thank you). Was through with both inside and outside inspection. A 9 out of 10 - Only problem, mask makes it difficult to understand— but that is true in all situations.

Recommend adding back up water safety to protect system Incase drain line backs up. Recommend cleaning blower wheel found light dusting on blades. No cool. Found system low on r410a. System has no water safety and is therefore not up to code. Evaporator coil is rusty and corroded, recommend replacement of evaporator coil. Customer just wants to recharge system for now and knows he has a leak.Recharged system with 4 lbs r410a. System is cooling at this time.

No cool main system. Tested system and found the following: evaporator coil is very rusty and corroded and likely to leak.Dual capacitor was bad causing system to not turn on. System’s water safety is code compliant but does not have a backup overflow protection switch. Replaced main level dual capacitor. Tested downstairs system for customer as well. Found weak blower capacitor (15uf). Found rusty, corroded evaporator coil. Found weak dual capacitor (45/5 uf). Found pitted main electrical switch. Replaced capacitor, dual capacitor and main electrical switch for basement system. Systems are cooling at this time.

Complete 1 system a/c repair and preventative maintenance check. Arrived on site to find indoor unit throwing communication error code. Found low voltage wiring issue in float switch. Fixed the wiring issue and the unit came back on. No other issues present at this time.

A/c repair call. Found the system not cooling because the fuse was popped due to the main electrical switch being bad. Ohm reading across switch only read 1 ohm. Found a weak blower capacitor as well (5 uf). Found rusty, corroded evaporator coil likely to leak. The system is 11 years old and runs on r22, a refrigerant that has been phased out by the EPA. The system has no surge protection. The system has no overflow protection switch to serve as a backup to the primary water safety switch and to help protect the furnace from potential water damage. Due to the age and condition of the system, recommend upgrading the system to a more reliable and more efficient system. The customer just wants repair for now. Replaced blower capacitor and main electrical switch. The system is cooling at this time. The customer used $35 off coupon.

Complete 1 system a/c repair and preventative maintenance check. Furnace is 21 years old. It has a very dirty blower wheel and capacitor that is getting weak. The system has no water safety attached. Needs both drain pan and inline float switch to protect furnace and house from water damage. The system has a standard one in the filter. Needs electrostatic filters to better filter air and keep the system and house cleaner longer. The system would also benefit from UV air treatment installed to kill bacteria allergens viruses and odors in the air that may cause harm to residents. The outdoor system is 5 years old. Cleaned condenser coils all electrical compare good. Pressures are good. The system has no compressor saver or surge protection.

Tested refrigerant pressures. Recommend hard start kit to take a load of the compressor so it starts smoother, runs smoother and therefore lasts longer. Completed diagnostic. Found unit with a very clogged drain line. Cleared drain line. The system has no backup water safety device to protect the furnace from water damage. The system has no compressor saver or surge protection. The system also has no air purification installed.

Completed maintenance. Customer only wanted outdoor condenser looked at today. Checked condenser. Pressures are good according to manufacturer’s spec. Contactor looks ok. Slight signs of arcing at connections. If worsens will needs to replace. Capacitor is rusted over completely. It is still within manufacturing spec. If it gets lower will need to be replaced. System has working compressor saver but missing surge protector.
