Potential property buyer called us to come out and perform a visual inspection of the entire boiler and furnace system. After assessing the boiler I determined that it is in relatively “ok†shape, i do highly recommend having a tuneup performed to clean off the burners and check the combustion levels. When looking at the furnaces at Biggs & Co I found that both exhaust vents on the furnaces were leaking water, creating soot, and the venting was not even connected, therefore letting the exhaust fumes leak into the building. I highly recommend having the replaced and fixed as soon as possible. This is a safety hazard and I believe the system should not even run until the venting issues is addressed. Both furnaces have been red tagged and gas has been shut off. Once the necessary repairs are completed then the systems can be turned back on.
