Perfomed AC precision tune up. Clean and tune up AC; cleaned condenser coil, checked all outdoor electrical components, tested indoor air flow, checked refrigerant levels, and tested overall AC operation. Connected system operation test and found system have very skewed refrigerant numbers. Spoke with technical support and diagnosed failed metering device. This is causing ac to be very inefficient and is not cooling well. System is only 8 years old, however, it is out of warranty and there may be further issue. Costs may start to add up. Chris will be out on Monday at 10:00 AM to go over replacement ac options. New ac will be more efficient and have fresh warranty. I do recommend that over repairing current unit.
