AC precision tune up. Clean and tune up AC; cleaned condenser coil, checked all outdoor electrical components, tested indoor air flow, checked refrigerant levels, and tested overall AC operation. When the ac kicked on noticed the lights dimmed this is due to a large inrush of power going to the outdoor unit. This will shorten the life of the compressor, to help against that would encourage a start assist kit. Also found the ac not up to state code. The code requirement is to have locking caps on the refrigerant access caps to help against theft and also act as a better seal. Found no major issues and homeowner didn’t state he had issues with his system. All recommendations declined at this time. With the age of this equipment replacement is encouraged in the future.
