On time and on it!

Jake showed up when he said he would and knew exactly what he was doing. I appreciated the professional approach and his skill in getting to the issue without a lot of guesswork.

Very satisfied

This is just my first time using Comfort Matters. I could rate them "excellent", but I would generally reserve that until I have a little more experience with someone.

System not on upon arrival. Turned it on to test operation. Fan would run, compressor would not. Diagnosed a failed motor booster. Replaced failed part with new, also installed new motor starter and start assist. Installed drain pan treatment to prevent biological growth in drain pan, pad is good for one year. Also brought AC up to current code of locking caps. AC precision tune up. Clean and tune up AC; cleaned condenser coil, checked all outdoor electrical components, tested indoor air flow, checked refrigerant levels, and tested overall AC operation.

Unit running at arrival. I put measure quick on a tested operation. My suction pressure was at 111 and staying right there and the suction line temp was at 65 with a super heat of 30. I pumped the refrigerant into the condenser. With both valves close, I had no pressure on the suction side but still had 220psi on the liquid side. This with the liquid pressure not movie and high superheat and line temp told me that the TXV was not opening or closing. I replaced the TXV under warranty and tested operation

AC precision tune up. Clean and tune up AC; cleaned condenser coil, checked all outdoor electrical components, tested indoor air flow, checked refrigerant levels, and tested overall AC operation. Found no major issues with the system. Used the last filter so I replaced the furnace and supplied the homeowner with four more for the year. All other recommendations declined at this time.

AC precision tune up. Clean and tune up AC; cleaned condenser coil, checked all outdoor electrical components, tested indoor air flow, checked refrigerant levels, and tested overall AC operation. Homeowner stated that the unit had tripped the breaker the day prior from our visit. They reseted the breaker and still no power to the outdoor unit. When arrived the unit had no power so I opened the system up and did an overall inspection of the electrical components and first I found the motor booster lastly found the wires going to the compressor were burnt and very fragile. Lastly tested the compressor and found the unit shorting to ground. deemed the compressor has failed at this time. With price of repair and condition of this system, replacement is encouraged. Jacob will follow up with you later with a call on replacement.

Arrived and thermostat was in fan only mode. Turned to cooling mode. Outdoor unit fired but fan inside did not. I was getting call for cool and fan. Spoke with technical support and ran additional tests to confirm it was a failed fan relay control board. Called for availability and part is no longer available. Jacob will call at noon today to go over furnace replacement options.

System not working upon arrival. Power off to unit. Turned it on at discount outside, fan would not spin, 240v going to it. Compressor very loud, unsure if it is actually pumping, wouldn’t know if there is other issues until fan was to be replaced. Due to age and condition, WHE declined repair. Will be providing a replacement cost for new AC.

AC precision tune up. Clean and tune up AC; cleaned condenser coil, checked all outdoor electrical components, tested indoor air flow, checked refrigerant levels, and tested overall AC operation. Unit did not stay running for long. Unit was giving a error code #53 code after 3 minutes of run time. Outdoor temperature sensor error. Ohmed out sensor, sensor is within range. The plug that goes into control board on A/C is black and the pins on board are black and corroded. Manufacture of A/C said that control board and outdoor temperature sensor and thermistor would have to be replaced. Unit will not work very well this summer due to it not wanting to stay running. Also found the pipe insulation and starter worn out on outside unit. Due to age and condition of system, replacement is recommended over repair. Will have Chris come out tomorrow afternoon to do a A/C estimate. Air Exchanger cleaning and tune up. Remove filters and core to vacuum. Also clean cabinet interior. Inspect bearings
