I repaired a flexible non-metallic duct system yesterday in Cary. First, I located and sealed multiple air leaks using Hardcast Tru-Grip 181 duct sealant and FRP reinforced mesh tape. For a crushed section, I spliced in a new length of Thermaflex G-KM insulated flexible duct using stainless steel duct strap clamps. At each trunk line, I secured the ducts with plastic Stretch-Wrap strapping to eliminate sagging. Finally, I verified proper static pressures and air flow at each register.
