Customer reported having a leak under kitchen sink. CPI plumbing and heating had changed out garbage disposal and kitchen faucet on previous visits. Inspected all plumbing under sink and could not find any defects or leaks from CPI supplied fixtures. Found a needle valve installed on rigid 3/8 cold supply line leaking. This was installed by previous renter. Removed valve and supply line. Provided and installed new dual emergency shutoff for faucet and icemaker. Installed hot supply shutoff for faucet and dishwasher. Supply line for dishwasher was dripping after replacement so it was replaced. Checked for leaks on all new installations. Supply line is 1/4 inch vinyl tubing which is prone to failure. This line was also installed by previous renter. Customer opted to keep line. Inspected and found proper brass sleeving inside of tubing. Made connection to shutoff without leaks. CPI cannot warranty this connection or line against leaks or property damage due to failure. Line should be br

Customers had a clogged building sewer. They had noticed it last night (1/5). They mentioned that they usually have problems with the drain every year but they had just had someone out in September. I looked for an exterior clean out and found one in the sidewalk out front by the street. When I opened this, I saw no signs of waste and there were cob webs inside which indicated that the blockage must be in between the bathroom and the clean out. I removed the toilet and the wax ring and placed the toilet on a rug. I used a camera down the toilet flange and saw a blockage at 15 feet. I used the 300 machine auger to clear this, but when I put my camera back down the line there was still water backed up. I put the camera back in and went out to 54 feet where I saw a more severe blockage. I used the same auger and ran it to 54 feet. I started to work the auger back and forth in the pipe from 54 feet to about 65 feet for 30 minutes. I could feel the blockage as the auger began to work throug

Customer was reporting that there is the occasional pop in the area of the water heater and hydronic air handler for heating. Found failed and flooded expansion tank. While testing faucet a notable thumping could be heard at top of water heater when faucet was opened and closed rapidly. This is caused by water hammer. Tested heating by cycling five times without any problems. Drained water heater slightly and replaced 2 gallon expansion tank. Bled air from system and checked for water hammer. Could not detect water hammer at tank after replacement. Customer will monitor. If sound persists we can run full diagnostic on heating system. Gave option for new water heater. Water heater is 8 years old.

Mr. Martin wants to replace his existing kitchen faucet with a new faucet. Provided multiple estimates for different faucets. Mr Martin didn’t like the design of any of the faucets that we provide. Mr. Martine showed me the faucet that he wanted. I offered for CPI to order the faucet for him. Because of costs Mr. Martin decided he would order the faucet he likes himself and have us install it on a later date. Mr Martin decided to only pay the dispatch fee today. Mr. Martin understood all the benefits of the Kelly’s Club Membership but respectfully declined. Mr Martin understood that CPI does not warranty customer supplied fixtures. Thank you for choosing CPI Plumbing and Heating.

Installed a new Kohler faucet and made the necessary connections. Restored water to the faucet and tested the new faucet. The new faucet is working as designed with no leaks present. Customer called in with Luke warm hot water from their water heater. Arrived on site and inspected the issue. The water at the hot taps in the bathroom is at 116 degrees. The customer stated that the hot water runs out when filling the bathtub or when multiple showers are taken. Performed a full diagnostic of the water heater. The water heater has proper Incoming voltage, the elements tested within spec, thermostats are in full contact with the tank wall and are also functioning as designed. The tank is working as designed with no defects present. Turned the thermostats up at the customers request. I explained that the thermostat temperature settings are not exact and do not have exact temperatures written on them. So it’s hard to gauge the exact temperature, and that there is a danger of scalding. The customer understands and will call back if there is any issues. Thank you for choosing CPI Plumbing & Heating!

Customer had a leaking garbage disposal. Looked like a crack in the side was causing the problem. He had purchased a new disposal to be installed after the old one was removed. I told the customer that an under sink waste re-pipe was included in the price. He did not want me to install new waste pipe under the sink. I uninstalled the old disposal and installed the new one. After installation, I did a full sink drain down test 7 times. No signs of water leaks. I also ran the disposal 3 times during the drain down tests to check the sound, vibrations and drain flow. Nothing unusual was detected. Thank you for choosing CPI!
