He did a great job, giving me alternatives for the repairs and checking to see if all plumbing was working properly when he completed the job. He even managed to drive through the snow, parking a distance away and having to wade through the snow back and forth to get equipment from his truck.

Arrived onsite to customers home to replace a failed high limit switch, furnace has a lack of return air, this is causing the internal temperatures in the furnace to be too high, after 2 years of the old high limit switch being in high temperatures it caused it to fail. Replaced high limit switch, unit was cycling off immediately due to high limit switch tripping anymore, however the supply air temperature is 129 degrees, with a return air temperature of 68, this is a big temperature split which means the return air is not enough. The unit may trip on high limit because it is not pulling in enough return air to keep the internal temperatures down on the furnace. Recommend adding more return air to the furnace. If adding more return air to the furnace is not done, the high limit switch could go bad again down the road. Thank you for choosing CPI Plumbing and Heating Inc.

Customer has a ten year old furnace. This is a price to diagnose issue as to what may be causing system fault. Customers thermostat was touch and would kick thermostat on whenever pressed closer to wall. Offered Mike diagnostic pricing and that is we could find it quickly we would wave diagnostic pricing and only charge for thermostat if that was the issue. Began jumper in wires and thermostat and furnace kicked on. Checked strip heat and found them to be pulling correct amount of current. Also checked fan and found it pulling good current as well. Turned power of to unit with system jumpered and tested continuity across wires and received 2 ohms. At this point Mike approved pricing for thermostat replacement and I waved diagnostic charges. Provided and installed new T6 Pro Honeywell thermostat. Heckled function and found outlet temp to be 126 with a 45F split. System is outputting hot air. Tested function of furnace 6 times and found it stopped and started each time with thermost

Arrived onsite to customer not having heat. Customer approved diagnostic pricing on 40 year old electric furnaces. Through diagnostic process found that sequencer relay is no longer working on middle bank of strip heat. Customer still has 66% of heating capacity. Presented pricing for all of furnaces replacement as they are all the same size and style and age. Customer wanted to move forward with repair at this time. Informed customer there would be no warranty on any work performed due to age and condition of units. Arrived onsite 11-21-22 and provided and installed a new sequencer relay. Tested installation and found outlet air was 112.2 and return air was approximately 72 indicating a 40 degree split. Each bank of strip heat had 20.2 +/- .1 amps indicating each bank is operating at this time. Thank you for choosing CPI plumbing and heating!

Customer called in because of shower valve dripping continuously from shower head. Shut water off to system. Drained system. Removed existing trim. Removed existing shower cartridge. Installed new cartridge. Returned water to system. Checked for leaks. No leaks found at this time. Reinstalled trim. Tested installation. Shower working as designed. Note:This repair was done under warranty. Also let customer know that shower wands do hold small amounts of water and can take a few hours to completely drain out.

Customer has an RV hook up connection in a water meter box in the ground in his driveway adjacent to the garage that is leaking water. The box is underwater and appears to have a water valve, electricity, and a clean out. The meter to the house is within 50 feet of the leaking rv hookup, and the meter is currently spinning. Customer signed off a water service repair and submitted half payment to be put on the schedule after locates have been marked by the utilities. We marked the area of excavation with white spray paint and called in for utility locates. Confirmation number is 22494131. Took photos of locates found. Shut off water at the meter, vacuumed out remaining water from box in the ground. Excavated in the front of the box. Found half inch copper pipe with boiler drain that had a leak just before the drain

Arrived on site per customer complaint of the furnace not working. Furnace is a Rheem electric furnace and is over over 30 years old. Presented pricing for diagnostic as well as replacement. Customer decided to move forward with diagnostic, and stated that they did not know how to operate the thermostat. The thermostat had been set to a schedule, in which some temperatures were set to 62 degrees. With the customer’s approval, reset weekday and weekend schedules to always heat the home to 68 degrees, and showed the customer how to override the schedule if necessary. With the schedule set, gave the unit a call for heat. The unit kicked right on. Tested a,o draw for the heat strips, all heat strips were reading approximately 20 A. The blower motor was pulling 2.61 A. Took a temperature reading from a supply register and got a reading of 103 degrees. Checked customer complaint about a leaking hose bib. The customer had a hose bib that was leaking and needed to be replaced. Presented customer pricing to replace the hose bib. After pricing was approved I laid down a rug to protect the customer’s floor from damage. I cut open the wall and exposed the pipes. Performed hose bib replacement. After the new hose bib was installed I turned on the water and tested for leaks with the customer. The hose bib performed as designed and there were no leaks. The customer was happy with the new hose bib. CPI is not responsible for dry wall patch and repair. Customer is responsible for drywall patch and repair. Customer called about her toilet shut off not working. Upon arrival, customer said they were trying to replace parts in the tank but the water could not be shut off. She mentioned that she would like us to replace the parts in the tank if we could. Also, inspected the shut off for the other toilet per the customer, found that it was not closing either. Provided pricing to replace both shut offs and replace the fill and flush valve inside the master toilet. Customer accepted. Shut off water, drained, removed toilet tank and both shut offs. Replaced both shut off with new escutcheons and supply lines. Removed previous fill and flush valve, installed new ones with new bolts. Turned water on, purged air, no leaks detected at shut off valves. Filled tank, no leaks detected. Flushed toilet multiple times to verify proper operation, toilet working as intended. Arrived onsite to customers complaint of no heat, provided options for replacement furnace, and diagnostic work, customer approved diagnostic work. Found that the inducer motor housing was full of water due to condensate trap being plugged. Cleared condensate drain. Next noticed that the furnace was cycling off and on, it was bouncing off of the high limit. Found 14x24x1 filter to be very dirty, swapped with customer supplied filter. High limit switch was still tripping, discovered that it was closing when it was not above its maximum temperature rating. The high limit switch has gone bad. Discovered that the return air duct was 2”x14” this is not adequate return air, and it is causing the internal temperatures to be too high, especially when the filter is dirty. This caused the limit switch to go bad. Found browning marks on control board, these are called hot spots, and are caused by over heating the control board, the cause for this is lack of return air, hot spots on the control bo

Customer requested filter be replaced and repair leak on toilet. Found toilet was leaking From tank to bowl connection. Provided estimate to repair toilet and estimate to replace toilet. Checked customer complaint about a leaking wash machine. The customer had a wash machine that was leaking. The drain and water lines were not leaking. I informed the customer that we do not repair appliances. I referred the customer to Kevin’s Appliance Repair to repair the wash machine and to Pure Dry Restoration to assess and repair the damage. I presented customer pricing to perform a diagnostic and replace the wash machine hoses but the customer decided to just call the appliance repair company. There was no charge for todays visit. Checked customer complaint about a clogged laundry drain. The customer had an old galvanized laundry drain pipes that were clogged and they wanted it cleared. Presented customer pricing to either attempt to clear the drain line with an auger or perform a repipe on the drain lines. After pricing was approved to auger the line I laid down a rug to protect the customer’s floor from damage. Performed augering of the laundry drain. After augering for a while I was able to clear the obstruction. Performed drain test on the laundry drain. I ran a large wash cycle to test the drain for any clogs with the customer. The laundry drain performed as designed and there were no leaks when last checked. The customer was happy the drain was cleared. CPI does not warranty or guarantee drain cleaning.
