Justin is a superb representative of your company. I called Emerald because of your commercial promises great service. I was not disappointed. There are horror stories of hvac companies who are unscrupulous and sell what is not needed. I found Justin to be both competent and honest. I am not able to evaluate cost/pricing because I have nothing to compare it to.

Adam had been out to our home a few times as we settled in with our new Central air unit. Every time he is on time, knowledgeable and respectful of our home. Test and tune on Weil-McLain natural gas boiler.
Completed boiler and ac test and tune. Boiler was almost at 30psi upon arrival, drained some water and lower fill valve pressure down to 18 psi, before firing up boiler. After boiler cycled pressure came up to 22psi. Expansion tank is not showing signs of failure but could be starting to fail.discussed with customer and showed him what to look for and determined that if the pressure keeps going up throughout the season then to give us a call and the fill valve will need to be replaced. Ac is working properly at this time.
Completed ac test and tune. Renewed comfort select plan for one furnace inspection. Installed new humidifier pad and showed customer how to switch it over for winter or summer. Indoor coil has slight corrosion but no leaks found at this time.
Found the control board was burnt which was causing the blower motor to run constantly. Determined the main drain was either backing up causing water to overflow through the furnace reaching the electrically the coil could have frozen up due to a plugged filter not changed since last year. Installed new control board and told customer to keep an eye out to make sure water dries up otherwise we may need to replace drain line, did treat drain pan with tablets to help break up any debri. Also found capacitor for blower motor out of tolerance as well as igniter out of tolerance. Tested heating and cooling after work was completed, good refrigerant charge, dual capacitor on ac is ok but might be out of tolerance by next year. No other issues or concerns at this time other than age of equipment and ac running on R22 which is being phased out by 2020.
Test and tune on Amana high efficiency natural gas furnace and air conditioner.
After discussing issue with customer found the dual capacitor bad on unit for front offices. Installed new dual capacitor and ensured proper operation. Continued to check other air conditioner for back offices, electrical is ok but system is low on refrigerant and the he system runs on R22 which is being phased out by 2020 new system should be installed rather than adding refrigerant due to age. Justine to give estimate on new ac on Thursday.
Completed ac test and tune. No operational issues found at this time. Comfort select plan is still active till we inspect the furnace. No other issues, concerns or recommendations at this time.
