Customer said she had a very strong smell in home this morning, before I turned anything on, checked oil tank to make sure no leaks, opened front cabinet of boiler to make sure system was not sooted up, which it wasn’t, customer is having system serviced in a week, did fire up all three zones two have baseboard heating main floor is forced hot air with hydro oil let system run for about 15 minutes, boiler cycled on and off, could not find any smells in home, customer will let us know if smell comes back, did find indirect tank beginning to leak on bottom of tank, took deposit for new indirect tank, customer still does have hot water but don’t want leak getting worse. Need to schedule installation of indirect tank with customer.
