When I purchased my unit 3 years ago, Chris Horton, a supervisor, told me that my filter lasted a year and that I didn’t have to chat it out because Freedom would and that the price of the filter changes were included in my total unit price. I was told the same thing last year when my filter was FINALLY changed, after asking for the last two years for some one to change it, only for the technicians that they “last a lot longer than I think.” I attempted to contact Freedom Customer Service several times to no avail. Thai year, I was given a list of items that we ranked “Mandatory, Preventative, and Optional.” The filter change was a mandatory charge. When I told Kashun that my filter changes were covered, he told me that he would have to check with his supervisor, which he did. The supervisor told him that they have never covered filter changes. I pulled out my original receipt that shows where parts and labor are covered for 10 years under warranty. The supervisor on the phone, who’s name was Chris, said that it was only covered one time and had Kashun point to the itemized portion of the receipt that shows the one filter purchased with the original unit on 8-25-19. This isnt the first time a Freedom Heating and Cooling Technician has tried to upscale me or scare me with pictures of “mold” into buying equipment/ upgrades. This company is not an honest company and quite frankly, I paid too much money for my unit to be nickeled and dimed and manipulated every time a technician comes to service the unit. No need to worry about changing my filter going forward. They’re $100 cheaper on Amazon.
Charles was a great technician and answered all my questions and educated me an my ac system. The pricing was great as well. This is my first time using Freedom Heating and Air and I am glad to say I have found my new HVAC company.

Just done routine maintenance on the HVAC system. All checked out to be good.
Found shortage in control board. Replaced board. System now heating properly upon departure.
Come out to do leak repair customer was putting shelf up and ran screw into copper so I soldered leak pressure tested and pulled vacuum and charged system with 8lbs 410A collected $920 by card
Come out no heat found reversing valve not doing right still not operating properly need someone take one more look or go head and order reversing valve under warranty cause we just replaced it.
On arrival for PTU I checked and clean unit. I checked all components such as wiring, filter, and add on parts for proper operation. Customer has a surge protector on furnace and outdoor unit. I looked over Virus Eliminator for proper functioning and check ductwork. I presented my findings to the customer and customer paid for filter replacement. System operating properly upon departure.
I arrived today on a maintenance tuneup. I checked everything on the system to make sure that everything was cleaned up and working properly. I did come across that the battery cap was bad and the uv bulb was bad so I replaced them both
Performed a PTU on 2 units check and clean coil’s, wiring, and all other components. Found no areas of concern system working properly upon departure.

Arrived to cooling concerned call. Customer stated that he installed the system had someone out to check and charged system. Had to go grab mini split adapter. Came back turned the system on and checked pressures they were holding. Informed customer that nothing was wrong at all and checked inside temperature. Got customer on a service agreement for older system. Will call to schedule first visit.
