Received the complaint from Tonja that the furnace/ac unit was leaking water. Turned on the ac system under a heavy load to recreate the symptoms. Opened up the ac coil cabinet to inspect the drain line. They were clear. Moved to troubleshoot the condensate pump and lines. Poured several bottles of water to test for proper operation and or any blockage. All is good. Noticed water buildup on the flooring. Checked underneath the furnace and ductwork for a possible floor drain backing up. All checked out. Finally noticed water running out of the backside, water leaking down the side of the cabinet and creating the issue. Final analysis the drip pan is cracked and needs full replacement with the coil. I explained to Tonja that she would need to replace the outside condenser as well since it’s an old R22 system that is outdated and difficult to service…. Given the fact tha R22 is not produced any longer. Worked up a variety of options for Tonja to decide, which one would work best for h
