I was called to a customer's home to repair their air conditioning unit. Upon inspection, I found that the compressor was not turning on and the customer was not receiving any cool air. I checked the compressor control board and found a 06 code, indicating a fault in the start circuit. I then checked the capacitor for the appropriate charge and found that it failed the test and needed to be replaced. The customer had a 10-year labor warranty, so I was able to replace the capacitor with a warranty part.
