Upon arrival outside unit was not running. Breaker was tripping every time compressor turned on. I inspected compressor. I checked for ohms and everything looked correct. I checked continuity and windings seems fine. I checked capacitor and contactor. Everything looked good. I replaced breaker at the disconnect and i replaced breaker at breaker box. I changed the wire adapter going into the compressor because they were rusted out. After I did that the compressor kicked on and the breaker did not trip. The unit is old and I tried to explain to the customer that compressor still has some juice in it however it is going out soon and won’t last long. I also recommended installing a hard start kit to extend the life of the compressor. They agreed would like it installed. I did not have it in my truck so we will have to return to install it. Also customer wants a quote for a new system from Wayne. I collected $205 emergency fee with card.
