Performed sidekick maintenance. Temp rise/drop is within specs. Flushed drain line, filter is ok. Amp draws are within specs. Pressures are within specs. Tightened and checked all wires. System is operational at this time.
Re-wired whole house fan and installed service/interlock switch and relay with FAU per County inspection requirements.
Performed diagnostic. Turned system on at thermostat but only inducer would be running. Fault code giving on board saying blower failed, tested capacitor and capacitor reading 0/7.5 mfd. replaced capacitor and system fired up right away. Ran system for 20 mins, no other issues present. System is operational at this time.
Replaced control board to allow for proper unit operation. Tested. Cycled heat several times. System is operational at this time.
Upon arrival system not operational. Control Board in lockout for failed ignition. Reset board. System fired up and then dropped out after a few seconds. Inspected flame sensor. Flame sensor ok. Inspected control board. Several cracked solder joints on the back of 12 pin connector. Readjusted plug and unit fired up and completed sequence of operation. Cycled several times. Issue is intermittent. Control board is failing. Hot surface igniter is testing at 60 ohms. Blower motor is operational and not leaking a visible amount of oil at this time. Signed on club membership for routine maintenance and savings.
Checked a Bosch system System did not duplicate sound that client heard before I arrived system is operational at this time told client if system makes noise again to try to record it and give us a call
Performed heating tuneup for carrier split system. Checked all safeties and connections. Checked filter. System is operational at this time. Renewed on super hero club membership and has two more visits left. Will also order damper motors and return to replace at a later date.
Performed heat maintenance on York diamond 80 furnace. Cleared inducer port and gas orifices. Cleaned burners and flame sensor. Checked all electrical. Everything within spec. System is operational and heating at this time
Remove existing equipment and haul away. Install new Trane 4 Ton XR17/XV80 16 SEER, 80% furnace (2 Stage). Reconnect condensate lines and verify flow to the exterior and add condensate safety switch. Install new electrical dis-connect at condenser with properly sized fuses and weatherized whip. Install new Hi Flo return. Remove registers, manually seal boots and install new hi-flow registers. Upgrade to MERV 13 5†inch filter. HERS certification includes third party duct pressure test. Freon recovery per EPA regulations. Installation includes equipment,material, labor, all required testing, taxes permits. Installation total $13,527.00 Due on completion - $13,527.00
Found a bad in zone sensor to upstairs. Replaced the in zone sensor. System operations ok at this time
Conducted permit corrections. Re-did condensates to display purple primer, phase taped wire in the disconnect for air handler. Customer had dealt with the malfunctioning smoke detectors on his own. Also opened damper for master bedroom.
CAll for no ac. System was operational upon arrival. Ran system for 20 minutes with no problems. Checked electrical and refrigerant levels. Everything within spec. System is operational
Gave options for Trane and Bosch 4 Ton units
Diagnosis of a 17 year old carrier split system, for no air flow. Found outside unit operational. The indoor blower motor was not operational. I checked the run cap and found it reading 0 mfd when rated for 7.5mfd. Recommended changing cap. Homeowner agreed to changing the cap. The blower motor was hot to the touch. And not starting after installing new run cap. Let motor cool down to see if it was thermally locked out. After cool down the motor still did not operate. I recommend replacing motor and speaking with a comfort advisor for replacement options.
