I arrived for a new customer no heat call. I spoke with the homeowner and found that the system would not respond and the thermostat will not power on. I inspected the system and found that the sequencer had melted and shorted all the wires to ground. I offered to replace the transformer and the sequencer and replace all the broken wires to see if the system will respond. They agreed to the repair. I removed all the burnt components and wires and installed the new components. I cycled the system back on and checked all amps on all elements as well the blower motor and capacitor. I found the system to respond correctly per mode the thermostat called for.
