Jake K. I arrived for a blue club membership summer tune up. I first spoke with the homeowner and found that the system is running well and keeping temperature. I checked the indoor system and found the evaporator coil to be extremely rusted and sticky. I also found the drain line to have a lot of buildup the drain line. I tried to blow the drain line out but with the weight of the drain line there is scale in the drain line that is not moving out. This system doesn’t have a safety switch on the system to turn the system off if it starts to leak water. I then inspected the outdoor system and found it to be clean but the condenser fan motor is leaking oil at this time. I also found the contactor to be blackened and pitted. I replaced the filters and brought all issues that I found that I would expect to be a problem to the homeowner this year. She will have to get with her husband to decide if they want to do anything with the system and get back with us to address and issues.
