Jake Kring. 07-03-2024. I arrived for a 18 year old system not running the blower motor in the air handler. The homeowner showed me the location of the system and I found that the control board and model were not communicating to run the motor. I tried to bypass the control to bring the motor on separately from the thermostat and condenser and had no luck. I called for availability on this system and found that the parts will have to be ordered in. I informed the homeowner of the part availability and the delay being a holiday and that it will delay some of the shipping for the parts. I explained how the system operates and we discussed the possibility of installing a single speed motor in place of the variable speed motor. Due to cost of the OEM part replacement. I explained that I can do it but I may need additional sequencers or relays to get the system to operate in all heating and cooling modes due to it being a heat pump and a electric heating air handler.
