24FEB2025 Jason Brown Arrived for blue club fall tune up service. Spoke with homeowner about the systems performance. They explained that the system is working fine, and that they barely run the heat. While I’m here customer requested I inspect the AC as the home has been hit by lightning. We first replaced the filters, then inspected the furnace. Surge protection is good, inspected heat exchanger, blower wheel/ motor, inducer, and flame sensor. Restored power to system and checked through all safeties. Cycled heating and verified gas pressure. System is heating properly at this time. Inspected AC disconnect power to equipment then check all electrical connections. For burns or damage. Check contactor, capacitor and hardstart. Mega ohm compressor and check over fan motor and blades for damage/ cracking. Energize system and check fan and compressor amps. Verify charge. Today I am not seeing any damage that could be caused by lightning. I do recommend replacing the hardstart and cleani
