Came out to call for a system not cooling properly. Customer stated that they were having issues with the system keeping up earlier this week, but the unit was still cooling at that point, and now the system isn’t cooling at all. System runs, but no cool air. They ended up pulling the disconnect fuse, and turned the system off. Told her I would check system over to find out what’s going on and let her now. I checked the system over and found the unit with barely any refrigerant in it. Explained the issue at hand and since the unit was empty, it’s a pretty significant leak and shouldn’t be hard to find. Put some nitrogen in the system and was able to locate the leak inside the condenser. Found the fan guard had rubbed a small hole in the liquid line of the system. Discussed with customer about repair needed, seeing it is repairable and discussed possible replacement to weigh their options. Condenser is only 6 years old and everything else on the unit checks out at this time, so customer
