No heat. Joe(JC)R 01/26/2025 I arrived to a call where the customer said the unit had stopped heating. When I was 15 minutes out the customer call and said that had started running again but he still wanted me to look at it. I looked over the package unit and found that the heater components were running well and the heat exchanger was in good shape and didn’t have any rust. The blower motor capacitor was starting to get weak. It was at 8.6MFD and was rated for 10. This will cause the blower motor to work harder that normal and will wear it out prematurely. The customer mentioned that he had changed the filter when it stopped working and it started working several hours later. The customer wasn’t interested in replacing the capacitor at this time.
