Jake Kring. 02-14-25. I arrived for a new customer air flow issues. I inspected the system and found it to be a 14 cabinet on a 20” supply plenum. The home is a little over 1500 sq ft. I explained how the system needs a minimum of 1200 cfm of air to breathe in and out for a 3 ton air conditioner and we can see how the small furnace cabinet can handle the duct work for the 1200 cfm required. We discussed the duct work cost and we made two estimates to just address the return duct to increase the velocity of the air coming out but I can’t guarantee that this will fix the airflow in the back rooms. The only way we can guarantee the air to be the same temperature would be to replace all the supply and return duct to get the raited airflow in and out of the system. We wanted to go over the estimates and see what they want to address all at once or just address the return ductwork.
