Austin 2-21-25 Completed the one system furnace tuneup on the 90% comfort maker/carrier. After going through the system thoroughly and testing all of the mechanical parts and functionality of the system, I did discover that the water in the drain line on the system because it condensates all year round because it is a 90% efficient unit so to become that efficient, it has to condensate as well and because of that Sensation during this cold time it caused the water to back up into the drain pan which at one point there was quite a bit of water inside of that drain pan and it is now getting very rusty which is a hazard more water that gets in there that rust can only uphold so much water before it just starts pouring through the pan Because it can’t withstand too much more rust than there’s just a bunch of ceiling damage that can be avoided if we just cut out the secondary line and put a safety switch into it so that it shuts the system off rather than allow it to run and overflow the
