Came out to call for a system not cooling properly. Customer stated that the unit was working fine up until yesterday. He thought that the fan motor or compressor might be out. I cycled the system on from the thermostat and checked it over. I found the units contactor pulled in but nothing coming on. Checked power and found the unit didn’t have power to it. Customer showed me the breaker box for it and the breaker wasn’t tripped. Customer has a main breaker box at a pole in the yard, so we went over to it and found a tripped breaker there. Customer turned it back on and the unit came on with no issues. Double checked system and found no mechanical issues at this time, though the fan motor amps were running at the limit. Capacitor and contactor checked out. Customer was wondering if the storms we had the other night could’ve caused the breaker to trip and I told him it was a possibility. Especially if the system short cycled do to a brief power outage. Customer will monitor the system a
