Jake Kring. 06-07-2024 I arrived for a system replacement in a basement. The existing system is a 2.5 ton with a 3 ton indoor system and using hard pipe for its supply and return duct. We inspected the system and came up with a couple of different options to relocate the water heater to get the system its return air that the system needs. We spoke about putting a return under the stairs in the basement and to put grills in the basement door to let the airflow of the system to get down to the system. We spoke about cutting in walls to fur out space to get the duct work ran into the attic of the home to get the system to pull in its air from the living area but we didn’t want to cut into the home. I bid to replace all metal duct with flex duct and to relocate the water heater and to replace the bypass humidifier with a fan powered humidifier and to install a humidistat to control the humidity on one device.
