Jake Kring. 08-15-2024. I arrived for a silver member tune up. I first spoke with the homeowner and found that the system has been running well and she had a filter for me to replace for her in the filter base located in the attic. I first inspected the condenser and found it to be dirty. I cleaned the system first and let it dry out while I inspected the system in the attic. I found the surge protectors to be working properly and the evaporator coil T be clean. I also found the 10 MFD capacitor to be reading 10.5 MFD under load and the amp draw to be well in manufacture range. I replaced the filter and checked the condenser. I found the capacitor to be a 45 MDF capacitor that is reading 43 MFD and is not recommended to read below 42 MFD. I informed the customer of the capacitor and we can replace it as a preventative repair at this time and prevent a additional diagnostic fee when it fails and we can still take advantage of a her club member discount today on the part.
