I arrived for a new customer system replacement opportunity. I spoke with the homeowner and found that they want to replace the system and/or add mini split to some rooms. I inspected the system and found that it’s a 3.5 ton system on a 1800 sq ft home. I also found the only return on the system is in the kitchen and it’s a local return on one side of the house and the system is undersized on duct work. The set up of the system is in a garage closet and there is no room to add more return to the system. We would have to move the existing water heater over and add a return box and run returns up through the closet and over into the attic. I also found the support duct to be in tact but all the whys are stacked on top of each other and it’s causing the system to have a un even air flow and hot and cold spots throughout the home. I made this aware to the homeowner and strongly recommend to have the return duct increased and the supply duct replaced. I explained that we can just replace th
