I arrived for a club member no cool call. I spoke with the homeowner and found that they have lost power and the ac will not come back on. I inspected the system and found the contactor to have been burnt and welded on one side and the other was not making connection to keep the system on. I recommended to replace the contactor to get the system back running and I reminded the homeowner of the high amp draws that we seen on our last visit and repairs like this is where we nickel and dime this system and in due time they have spent enough money in repairs to get the system replaced. They only wanted to replace the contactor at this time. I replaced the contactor and checked the systems refrigerant charge and found it to be running fine at this time.
