Came out to call for a system not heating properly. Customer stated that the furnace wouldn’t come on when she turned the thermostat to heat. I checked 5e system over and found the hot surface ignitor not operating. I had proper voltage but there was a short in the ignitor. Discussed with customer about repair needed. Customer approved repair after we discussed a payment plan for the part. Customer will pay $100 today and send a check to the office for 86.65 when she gets paid. Customer is due for her heating service, so I went ahead and completed that as well. Changed the filter out. Inspected the blower assembly, motor, capacitor, electrical components, burners, flame sensor, pressure switch, gas valve and overall condition. Cleaned flame sensor and dust off the burners. Checked thermostat operation, wiring, amps, temperatures and gas pressure. System is now heating properly.
