Jason the tech which serviced our unit is a STAR. All my experiences even calling twice in the past years during the holidays have always been great. Great company, great techs and great experience
Came on time. Very polite and helpful. Got the job done in a timely manner with a pleasant attitude. He also checked my CO2 detector to be sure it was still working. When at the Northampton Home he helped change a battery in the smoke alarm and recommended we install a CO2 detector. I thought that was very thoughtful. I am very pleased.
We have been very happy with Interstate! Jason fixed our issue and took great care of us. Highly recommend!
Isaac got to us not much more than 2 hours after I called, and this was after regular business hours. Got us repaired and cool air starting to blow in short order. It would’ve been a miserable night without his help! Very professional and friendly.
Jasón recommended this company and your service was excellent and appreciated
At first the tech said I needed to have freon added for $149. and also cost of a diagnosis call, $89.99. I told him I had already a diagnosis call and nothing was indicated as being needed and his office had said that there would be no charge for the diagnosis. I told him I would think on the freon. Brandon called back and said he went ahead and added nine oz. of freon and wouldn't charge for the diagnosis call. There was no charge for the service. That restored my faith in Interstate and the owners, Kai and Jamie.

01SEP2024 Jason Brown Arrived for non club no cool. Spoke with Homeowner about the systems performance. It’s running, however the air isn’t cool. Inspected equipment Found fuses blown at AC. Checked fan, capacitor, compressor, charge, and contactor. Traced wires back to disconnect and verified secure connections and sizing. With permission I replaced the fuses and checked over all amp draws. Compressor 7.11 amps, Condenser fan .66 amps Head 288 line 82 sc 10/10 All components are working as intended and within manufacture specs. Discussed cleaning, maintenance, and surge protection. System is cooling properly at this time.
Completed duct cleaning for customer. Arrived to job site shortly introduced myself to the customer, customer has been wanting a duct cleaning. customer had been dealing with respiratory issues and has not had a duct cleaning in home in the past 30 years. Customer had been there. After I explained to the customer the step-by-step process on a duct cleaning, I then shortly started my inspection process. Once inspection process began, I checked each vent on each side of the house to make sure that the inner liner of the flex duct was not brittle and would not tear in contact with duct cleaning machine. Once I was able to confirm that it was good to be cleaned, I shortly got started. Shortly after confirmation, I placed down drop sheets in each of the rooms, I took down all the vents, used a contact duct, cleaning machine to clean out the return, and the supplies and home, after I was done with that, I Also cleaned the vent covers with the duct cleaning machine, and then shortly put al
Came out to perform preventative maintenance on AC system. Inspected the blower assembly, motor, electrical components, coil, drain and ductwork in attic. Customer is having a family friend redo some ductwork for her in the home that’s not fully connected yet. Washed condenser coil. Checked components, amps, temperatures and pressures. System is cooling properly at this time.
Silver club AC/Heater maintenance. Joe(JC)R. 09/17/2024 Performed full system evaluation and safety inspection. I arrived to perform the customer’s annual AC/Heater. The customer said that everything was running well and wanted me to perform the heater maintenance as well. I then washed out the condenser and inspected it. The condenser was in good shape and was running well. I then checked the furnace's which was in good shape. The heat exchanger was in good shape along with all the heater components. I cleaned the flame sensor and fully inspected the furnace. I also checked the coil which was in good shape. I also replaced the filters for the customer with ones that they provided.
Blue shield club AC maintenance. Joe(JC)R. 08/14/2024 Performed full system evaluation and safety inspection. I arrived to perform the customer’s annual AC maintenance. The customer didn’t have any questions and said that everything was running well. I then washed out the condenser and inspected it. I found that the condenser capacitor was getting weak on both sides. The fan side was at 6.8MFD and is rated for 7.5MFD. The compressor side was at 36MFd and calls for 40MFD. I then inspected the air handler. The blower motor capacitor was starting to get weak and was at 22MFD and calls for 25MFD. The capacitors that are weak will eventually fail and cause damage to the components they are connected to. As they get weak they will place extra stain on the parts they are connected to. The customer wants to wait to replace the parts.
06AUG2024 Jason Brown Arrived for previous customer no cool. Spoke with homeowner about the systems performance. It stopped cooling and I found the bad fuse light on in the disconnect. Inspected AC, found 25a fuse blown, and AC dirty. Checked equipment history and found that systems has 7 months left on the labor warranty, and 8 years 7 months on parts warranty. Replaced fuse, checked charge capacitor contactor and all components. Inspected filter and checked over indoor equipment. System is cooling properly at this time. Discussed club membership and warranties.
No cool. Joe(JC)R. 06/24/2024 I arrived to a call where the customer said that the system wasn’t cooling and the condenser was making a large noise. I found that the hard start kit had failed. I replaced the hard start and checked out the system and couldn’t find any issues with it.
Jake Kring. 06-15-2024. I arrived for a club membership no cool call. I spoke with the homeowner and found that the system is not running. She showed me the system and I inspected the units. I found the condenser to be dirty with cotton wood. I also found the fuse to have failed. I replaced the fuse and checked the systems operation and found the system to be running properly. The inrush amps are pulling 26 amps upon start up. The electrical components and refrigerant charge are within manufacture specifications at this time. I informed the homeowner of the issue and recommend a hard start kit on the system to get the system starting at a lower inrush amps. We decided to add the kit at this time. I installed the components and tested the system again. I found the inrush amps to drop down to 16 amps at this time. I then reassembled the system and cleaned the system free from its debris. There is a one year warranty on the hard start kit.
Jake Kring. I arrived to bid a system for replacement. I spoke with the people at the property and they only showed me the location of the outdoor system. I found the system to be a 3 ton R22 system. I gave an estimated cost of a full system and a condenser and coil only. I informed the, that we will have to inspected the indoor system before we come out to replace the system so we know what we are going to install will fit in the configuration that the system is in. They then only wanted a bid on the condenser and coil only.
14MAY2024 Jason Brown Arrived for friends and family condensate leak. Spoke with Mike about the situation. I think it’s the coils freezing, but it’s leaking water everywhere. Inspected system. Found drain plugged at pan. Water is draining through the furnace and water on to the filter. This is blocking airflow and causing the system to freeze. With Mikes permission I cut the drain line open and blew out the clog with nitrogen. I then installed a new coupling and tested the drain with water. Verified the system operation. System is cooling properly at this time! Great to catch up with you!!
07MAY2024 Jason Brown Arrived for call back on recent tune up. Spoke with tenant and owner about the systems performance. Well the last tech said we needed a new thermostat, first is quoted me the full price, then he quoted me just the labor. I didn’t receive the cover letter to his visit and the check list is confusing. Everything is grey. And finally. in the invoice he stated that he didn’t check the condenser, but he wanted to sell me a capacitor. Started with this system. Cycled cooling at the thermostat. Checked AC and drain lines. Drains are clear no water in the float switch. Inspected AC, verified system operation. Cycled heating at the thermostat. Heating kicks on just fine. Cycled system through all stages a couple more times. Had office resend invoice cover letter and photographed notes with about not inspecting the condenser. Discussed thermostat operation with owner and tenant. We decided to turn off the programming and try running the system without it. Left fridge magnet
Today I had the pleasure of conducting maintenance on a 12 year old Amana systems. Upon arrival, the homeowner stated that they had just replaced the filter but haven’t turned on the ac yet this season. I started by verifying system cleanliness and found the blower assembly and ducts dirty and in need of cleaning. I then verified all amps temps and pressures. I found the system operating within manufacturer specifications. I discussed my findings with the homeowner who would like to discuss with her husband. All conditions otherwise normal at this time.
