Came out to call for a system not cooling properly. Customer stated the storms that came through recently caused some issues at their house and one of them being with the AC system. Customer stated that the unit wasn’t operating properly. When they noticed it wasn’t working they shut it off and it’s been off since. I checked system over and found the heat pump to be operating, but the blower motor was not. I checked voltage and had proper power to the blower motor, but it’s not responding. Blower motor will need to be replaced and it is one that we don’t stock on the truck. Came back out to install motor that we had ordered for the customer. Pulled existing blower assembly and disassembled it. Cleaned blower wheel and put blower assembly back together with new motor. Reinstalled the blower assembly back into the air handler. Wired motor into corresponding air handler wires. Cycled system in all modes to ensure blower works in all modes and functions. System is now cooling properly.
