Excellent Service

Arrived on time. Explained everything in detail. Wore shoe covers inside. Offered to assist me in bringing a very large box inside that had been delivered. I appreciate this courteous gesture so much. Mr Thomas was courteous throughout service call.

Excellent Service and Awesome technician!

Luis was very professional and very good at explaining the service he was providing. He let us know what he was doing and checking every step of the way and let us know the different options we could take when he was done. We will definitely be using Jackson & Sons again for any future HVAC service and maintenance. Luis went above and beyond and made this a great experience!

Tech washed and serviced unit and found no challenges at this time. Customer was home when tech arrived to give access to inside portion and also extended PSA via Visa card customer had to leave for work soon as tech started tech was able to get in and check thermostat and delta t unit is cooling with a delta t of 20 return of 72 and a supply of 52

Tech performed ESA on 1 system. Split system- tech found system had no float switches tech recommended installation float switch on pan, no further challenges at today’s visit. Recommendation- installing float switch to pan to prevent overflow, customer stated they are interested but unable to do at this time.

Tech arrived to perform energy saving agreement. Tech found water spigot on opposite side of house, tech doesn’t have enough hose to reach system. Tried to call customer to see if they had any hoses but all hoses had holes. Will need to come back 3 water hoses to wash coils and system. Tech inspected all electrical and cleaned evaporator coil, tech spoke with customer he is going to take care of renewal when we come back.

Tech serviced and washed unit. Found no challenges at this time, customer stated they did not want to renew because they won’t be in this house much longer.

Customer did not understand why indoor unit kept running even when outdoor breaker was off. Tech explained that air handler in attic is on a separate circuit from outdoor unit and will continue to run the blower even if outdoor unit is off. Tech found blower control board EZ select on factory default jumper settings. Tech peeled sticker on board to reveal jumper setting labels. Corrected jumper settings for 2 ton split heat pump with 2 stage compressor, 10kw single stage heater (jumped together at factory W2 jumper), comfort, enhanced, and nominal airflow settings. Turned system on and off in each mode after correcting blower control board. Found no further issues with system after correcting blower board jumpers. Connected new Vision Pro to Wi-Fi network and turned scheduling off per customer preference. Customer does not have his email and password to Honeywell account. To connect new Vision Pro to customer’s existing Honeywell account, customer’s daughter will need to find or rec

Tech performed maintenance per service agreement. Tech found upstairs air handler receiving no power. Tech noticed Generac was not receiving power, causing air handler to not receive power. This was noted by previous technician also. Homeowner is having an electrician come out today to check it out. Tech found blown UV bulb in package unit. Homeowner decided not to replace today. Tech replaced one 20 x 20 and two 16 x 20 filters. System is operating properly at this time.

Customer reported PTAC unit in room above garage not cooling. Tech walked up to unit and saw it not running although control was set to cooling. Adjusted control and setpoint. Unit did not respond. Removed panel. A few seconds later, system started and ran in cooling by itself. Blower will not run at low speed. Blower shut off when set to low speed. Tested heat mode. Heat strips will run with blower off when set to low. Blower runs in high when set on high or auto. Compressor was still running in cooling mode with blower shut off while control is set to blower low setting. Blower does seem to run correctly when set to high or auto. 20 year old Fedders PTAC unit was manufactured in 2004 and uses R22. Tech diagnosed faulty PTAC control board not energizing low blower speed correctly. Due to age and likely cost of repair vs replacement, tech recommends replacing 20 year old PTAC unit. Need to call back with PTAC unit replacement quote. Wall sleeve exterior measurement is 16*42. See

Upon arrival homeowner stated there was not power on the thermostat. Tech inspected equipment and found there to be no line voltage feeding disconnect. Tech found Generac system breaks line voltage on equipment and believes Generac box caused the loss of power. Tech was able to get unit back up and running and told homeowner if it happened again to call the company the services generator system.

Tech found no obvious issues with either HVAC outdoor unit. Tech found burnt hole where line voltage arc flashed through front cover of main electric meter to house. Tech let homeowner know. She is calling the power company. Tech let customer know there is no housecall on the Premium plan. Tech collected trip charge due to service call not being a HVAC unit issue.
