Tech arrived and found thermostat blank, tech found 3 amp fuse blown and replaced. Tech ohmed out heat strip contactor and test failed, tech got approval for replacement of heat strip contactor. Tech cycled system on and off several times and System is now on and heating properly at this time. All is good at this time.
Worry free plan customer. Customer stated she turned system up this morning and air from vents didn’t feel warm. Found system set to 73 and satisfied at 73 upon arrival. Found compressor off time set to 3min this may have caused blower to run without compressor when system was first turned on. Corrected all settings and cycled system, heat strips, and defrost with no challenges.
Found heavy LP gas smell within home/around unit area. Found ignition control board faulty sending constant partial voltage to gas valve, and displaying incorrect/non-existent fault codes. Suspect gas valve is intermittently sticking as well, and located small leak within gas valve fitting. Turned system and gas off. Costly repairs are not recommended. Handed over to field supervisor.
Tech washed and serviced units per service agreement, customer was not home during service at today’s visit, tech was not able to service air handler or get temperature’s or look at thermostat, but tech found no challenges with the package system or the split condenser at today’s visit will need to get in touch with customer about servicing the air handler

Install Trane 5 Ton Gas/Electric Package Unit With WiFi Programmable Thermostat
Tech found system in high limit error. Tech restarted system and found a failed variable speed blower motor. Tech recommended replacing system due to price of repair and age of equipment. Tech sent quotes for motor and ESA. Field supervisor notified.
Tech found system void of refrigerant. Tech performed a leak search and found a very large leak. Previous tech also noted a leak in the evaporator coil. Tech strongly recommended replacing system as it is a 26 year old R22 system with major repairs needed. Customer wanted to repair the main leak and recharge system only, declined field supervisor visit. Tech informed customer that the compressor may fail at any time due to it running with no refrigerant. Tech repaired hole in the line, pulled a vacuum, pressure tested and recharged system. System is heating properly and running aux heat properly at this time.
Emailed proposal to customer. They are going to get other quotes.
