Got water restored to the house and advise the customer to have a small drip of water going through his faucets when extreme cold nights are going to happen. Could not find incoming water to the house from the crawlspace due to lack of access from ductwork coming across the house.
Upon arrival tech found both 12” flex duct runs collapsed and wet. Found water dripping out of flooring into crawlspace floor. Water heater is located beside furnace, tech suspects leak in water line. Recommended having a plumber come out to diagnose. Tech also found broken float switch, sent estimate to customer regarding repairs. Would need to replace both duct lines, totaling 60 feet of 12” flex. Recommend fixing potential water leak before going any further with repairs.
Only wanted verbal over the phone
Tech found variable speed blower motor failed tech quoted out speed blower motor and module. Due to amount of repairs and out of warranty tech recommended replacing system. Field supervisor scheduled to come out next morning to give best solution.
Tech found system thermostat was calling for heat but not sending 24v. Technician called for cooling and system would engage. Upon further inspection tech found in condenser r wire y wire and o wire were all jumped together by the y from the air handler. Tech also found during heating thermostat would not send signal. Tech quoted minor repair for rewiring condenser correctly as well as a new 5000 focus pro thermostat. Customer approved repairs. Once repaired wiring and replaced thermostat system started up no issues. System is operating properly at this time. Tech informed customer on benefits to maintenance plan customer invested in a mpa.
Emailed proposal to replace duct. Customer has to speak with husband before making a decision.
Tech inspection ducts in crawls space that were accessible, found lots of insulation ripped up from animals. Tech was unable to fit to see area where no air is blowing, would need to remove lines to fit past. Tech recommended replacing duct system due to damage and poor design. Field supervisor on schedule for Friday, waved trip charge per office.
Upon arrival tech began inspecting as much o the duct work as possible from underneath and outside the home due to not having access inside. Tech opened up 3 locations and inspected under house and did not see and disconnect lines. Tech was able to gain some access under home beside system but could only make it so far due to low crawl space. Tech did not see any fallen lines. Homeowner stated issues of no airflow are in the L shape where the chimney is which is the lowest section of the house. Homeowner is gonna see when tenant would be available to allow access inside home and call the office to schedule. Will need a smaller tech to go in crawlspace.
Tech replaced inducer motor, burners, and 35/5 uf dual run capacitor. Adam approved as agreed price. Tech collected for repairs by check. Took pictures of new parts and tested heat without further issues.
Tech washed and serviced unit and found dual run capacitor testing weak tech recommended replacement. Tech found no further challenges.
Toilet need rebuilt tank loose and flapper got string to it to flush toilet Kitchen faucet need replaced
Tech found Uv bulb not shining. Homeowner approved bulb replacement.
