We woke up to one of our units (not installed by Jackson & Sons) not heating. We have always had amazing service from Jackson & Sons with installation, regular maintenance, to now repair.
Tech found line set was looped multiple times causing oil traps. Tech informed customer on findings and recommended cutting lineset down to size. Customer approved. Tech performed repair. Once repaired tech found no other challenges with system. Tech educated customer on maintenance plan he will discuss with wife.
Tech preformed preventative maintenance and serviced system. Upon arrival, customer mentioned issues with allergies. Tech recommended plasma air. Customer invested in plasma air and comfort premium plan renewal. System is up and running with a delta t of 26.
Removed cartridges and seats and replaced them with new parts.
Rebuilt toilet downstairs and looked at the master tub. Need to order parts for the American standard tub valve.
Downstairs gas pack, pre-paid repair. Replace a faulty 2 stage inducer draft motor (carrier). Tech replaced the inducer draft motor under manufacturer warranty. Tested heating cycle for approximately 15 minutes. System is back heating.
Tech returned and replaced faulty ECM blower motor. After replacing blower, tech tested system. In low stage gas heat, only 2 of 3 burners lit. Tech pulled and cleaned burners. Put burners back in position. Tested low and high stage heat with no further issues. System is heating and cooling. Tech collected for repair.
Customer had downstairs thermostat shut off on arrival. Tech gave system a G fan call from Ecobee thermostat. Blower ran. Gave system a cooling call and walked to the unit. Unit was running, but blower was not. Disconnected Y wire nut so unit only has G call. Blower started and ran about 60 seconds and shut off. System still has a 24 volt G call. Tech measured 4 volts on speed tap 1, 7 volts on speed tap 2, and 5 volts AC on speed taps 3-5. Tech removed low voltage plug and jumped 24 volts directly to blower speed taps. Blower speed tap 1, 4, and 5 all responded and ran when jumped. Speed 3 and 4 did not run. Tech unplugged all 5 speed taps and common wire from low voltage connections to blower motor. Called for G. Tech got 24 volt output on Cool Lo terminal on ignition control board and 0 volts on the other 3 output terminals. No strange 4-7 volt ghost voltage at board with blower unplugged. Tech diagnosed faulty ECM blower motor. Motor is a 1 HP 5 speed Genteq constant torque blowe
Tech performed service on mitsubishi mini split & carrier split system. Tech did not have (1) 12x12 filter. Customer would like filter. Customer renewed maintenance plan. Found no other challenges at todays visit.
Upon arrival tech was informed thermostat was blank. Tech found system not receiving 240v from disconnect. Inspected disconnect and wires were burnt cause it to not have a good connection. Tech attempted to reuse disconnect but on and off switch was not working correctly. Installed new nonfused disconnect box and rewire line voltage. System is back operational at this time. No charge due to system being under full warranty.
Tech washed and serviced unit and found no challenges at this time. System is back up and cooling.
Presented proposal to customer. She is getting multiple quotes to replace unit/duct.
Tech found 120 volt breaker for gas furnace in right side garage panel to be turned off. Tech restored power to gas furnace and system is back cooling. Tech also found 70/7.5uf dual capacitor reading 6.7% weak on HERM side. No housecall per PSA. Tech billed breaker reset fee. Customer says he will call in to pay invoice tomorrow. Office approved billing. Tech set thermostat on 72 and locked doors.
Emailed proposal, customer is getting other quotes. Will contact us back once he receives all of his quotes.
Upon arrival tech installed new OEM motor and module. Started system up with no challenges.
