We woke up to one of our units (not installed by Jackson & Sons) not heating. We have a service contract with Jackson & Sons so I called on a Friday and the technician, Kyle, was here within a couple of hours! We have always had amazing service from Jackson & Sons with installation, regular maintenance, to now repair.

Tech performed esa on split heat pump, customer wanted to hold pff renewal today
Tech returned and repaired broken branch line. Customer prepaid
Tech found 8” branch line split in crawl space, will need 8” splice collar customer already paid just in case he is not home.
Tech found system satisfied upon arrival, customer stated upstairs stopped blowing air yesterday but started today. Tech opened and closed damper multiple times with no challenges, tech found system slightly overcharged tech removed 10oz of refrigerant to get subcooling to desired 16. Tech suspected damper motor is intermittently failing customer wants to hold off to see what it does.
Tech found fan running but not compressor due to a failed capacitor. Tech replaced capacitor and found normal operation. Customer is interested in ESA.
Tech found r22 system low on refrigerant, customer is moving and just wants repaired. Tech injected AC Leak Freeze and charged system with 4lbs of r22, system is now cooling with 17 delta t.
Upon arrival customer stated noise coming from air handler, tech was unable to replicate noise. Customer had video tech uploaded in video it sounds like noise is coming from ECM motor. Tech checked all connections and ensured they were tight. Tech informed customer to call back if it keeps doing it, she stated this has been an ongoing issue that is on and off.
Upon arrival tech found system not cooling, after inspection tech found dead dual run capacitor tech replaced after approval system is back cooling with 17 delta t. Tech also noticed condenser coils are very dirty recommended maintenance customer signed up for 1 visit ESA. Need to go ahead and schedule
Deciding on which systems he wants to go with
Tech performed ESA on one system. Tech found no issues with system at todays visit. System is back on and operating properly at this time, tech spoke with customer about renewal and customer stated that he needed to talk to his fiancé but requested estimate so that they can see it, tech built estimate and informed customer to call office if they decide to renew.
Tech performed ESA on split system. Tech serviced and cleaned system. Tech faced no challenges at todays visit and system is cooling properly at this time.
Upon inspection tech found blower speed set for 3 ton, tech swapped wire to correct setting for 2 ton system. Blower is significantly more quiet while providing correct amount of airflow. Install warranty.
Tech inspected 2 roof top package systems. No challenges found today, maintenance/sanitation is recommended to improve efficiency and prolong the life of the equipment. System is heating and cooling a it should. System reports were provided.
