Upon arrival tech was informed furnace needed pilot light lit. Tech inspected Goodman furnace and found it had a hot surface igniter. Tech found the transformer blown along with the low voltage fuse. Installed transformer and fuse for diagnostic purposes and noticed the blower running without a call at the thermostat and the W1 unwired from the circuit. Tech found blower wired in with 24v wire and ez226. Rewired so blower would shut off when there was no call. Tech then began diagnosing why W1 was disconnected and suspects is due to a potential crack in heat exchanger. Tech recommends replacing furnace over making any repairs due to age. Informed customer of findings and stated they were going to reach out to home warranty company and would like a quote for replacement. Tech wired system back to factory and turned system off at breaker for now.
