nice job guys

Fixed the errors of the original installer. Now the furnace breaths much better. I can tell by the sound and the air volume from the registers.

For this job, the customer was saying they could smell sewage in the back corner of the house. So I cry underneath the house and found sewage right under where the toilet was and where it was going out side towards the city drain. I found a big crack, just below the toilet and saw signs of leakage around the joints and also saw 2 inch galvanized pipe rusted through. My recommendation is replacing the galvanized pipes from the toilet to the outside drain and replacing all galvanized pipe. As of right now, I was not able to fix the sewage smell.

Return is grossly undersized and has already took out a motor. to insure that this does not happen again and to prevent any damage to the furnace we will be fixing the return. We will be running new properly sized duct work to the three existing returns. We will be setting the existing furnace on a base and installing a 20x25x5 filter rack on the side. We will be installing a new return drop. We will be installing a new return trunk that will a attaching to the three returns. We will be moving the wood burning coil to the supply side on the furnace.(we will supply fittings and the customer will supply the piping)

Found trap was clogged and flame sensor was dirty. Prior to cleaning flame sensor my reading was 1.5 uADC after cleaning flame sensor my reading was 3 uADC. I then removed and cleared debris from trap. After hooking up trap and starting furnace the collector box condensation was able to drain properly and I observed a large amount of condensation going through trap further verifying prior clog. All items are routine maintenance items not covered under warranty. I recommend routine maintenance through Ascend Mechanicals Gold Plan Membership for preventative maintenance.

Customer says there was sewage smell coming from air vent underneath the sink downstairs, the air vent flapper was not working a lot of air to come through. We are changing the auto air vent. We also tested all drains to make sure they were working properly. If we have to come back for problems with smell again we will need to cap where the air vent goes in

For this job, I removed the temporary fan motor and installed the OEM motor. I also install a medium Turbo cap and check the operations of the furnace. The part is under warranty, but the labor was not. I found the furnace is working great. But we do need to follow up with the customer about his ductwork As of right now, the furnace is working in normal operation

When I arrived on job site, customer was unsure how long the boiler had been out so after checking the system I found that the damper motor was bad so I bypassed it but it still wouldn’t work so I had to bypass it with wires after doing that, the boiler came on a ran for a few minutes, then shut back off. I’ve then found that the high limit switch terminals were corroded and not allowing voltage to pass off Through them, I made the best connections possible with the condition of the switch and then boiler fired off. Boiler was running when I left, we will need to follow up with a price on a new draft motor and rollout switch. Please mail the invoice.

For this job, the customer was having problems geothermal not heating. So I proceeded to check the unit and found a five amp fuse was tripped. While I was checking the geothermal, I had the system on emergency heat had a temp split of 61° and 118°. After I reset the five amp fuse, I turned the system back on the heat pump and was able to get proper readings. I had a temp split of 61° and 92°. I also checked the water split and the temperature of the water as well The customer said they did not have this unit service for a while, so I recommended the customer having a tuneup done to this geothermal. The customer wants us to come back and do a tuneup. I did not find any other issues with this system

For this job, the customers furnace kept running, even though the thermostat was satisfied. Then sometimes it will come on, then shut off a couple times. Even though the stat was satisfied. I found that the thermostat wire was hooked up to the universal thermostat Smart wire module, and when I unhooked it and just connect R and W the furnace seems to be working great. My recommendation to the customer was replacing the two wire that they got and add 18/6 wire. The customer gave me the OK to have that wire replaced. Both labor and part is under warranty and we would need to reschedule to come back. As of right now, the furnace is working.
