Upon arrival of the technician found that the thermostat was showing an error code, and the system would not turn on. The technician then went into the attic. And checked over the furnace and found that the damper cord was not currently powered. The technician opened the furnace and found that the circuit board currently does not have power. The technician opened the electrical box where the power comes into the unit and measured the voltage and found that the system does not have any voltage coming to this part of the system. The technician then opened the power switch next to the light switch and measured the voltage and found that there was only 4.92 V coming to the light switch, though the system needs 120 V. The technician diagnosed it as a failed wire or breaker and would need to contact an electrician. The homeowner stated that she has a home warranty company and she would be contacting them to have a electrician come out.
