The technician replaced a capacitor in the heat pump during the fall inspection. Because the capacitor was not mounted correctly it came loose and shorted out the system causing the whole system to fail and potentially damaging the system in ways that we may not know for some time. It took the technician most of the next day to troubleshoot and fix the problem. So we were without HVAC.for a day with a system that had been working perfectly before the service. The only bright side was that the company did not try to charge us for the work to fix the problem they caused.
