Cut out leaking section of 1” copper and replaced with new 1” copper pipe and fittings. Reused existing 1/4 turn valve. Vacuumed out about 20 gals of water from pan and from inner chamber of water heater. Relit water heater and allowed pilot to run for 20 mins. Restored thermostat to 120 degrees approx.
