Upon arrival customer stated that the TRANE unit was not turning on, tech found no voltage coming through circuit board, found the low voltage wires that supply power from the transformer to the circuit board were loose, tech re-secured wires, cycled, system is now running, delta t is 75-55 (20 degree drop) system is cooling, OUTDOOR UNIT HAS 245/245 LINE VOLTAGE, 26.2 LOW VOLTAGE, FAN AMP IS 1.1/1.4, COMPRESSOR AMPS 10/18.
Performed a diagnostic on a Trane AC. After inspecting, the 240 volt wires were burnt and caused a short. Replaced the wire and confirmed unit is working now.
Tested Freon levels on RHEEM unit. Filled at customer request. Customer requested estimate on new unit.
Arrived and Found house at 68 degrees. Checked pressures/ coils. Removed outside debris and customer opted to clean themselves.
During diagnostic visit, Found pressures at 40/180 checked delta t at 14 added freon at customer request new pressures at 70/200 with a SH of 28 unit is operating as expected at this time
During A/C vist, found 50/5 capacitor had exploded, replaced at customer request.
Estimate provided to replace a 2001 Bryant Air Conditioner with a Carrier 16 SEER 5 Ton Air Conditioner. Included a one year service maintenance agreement.
Inspected a Carrier 13 SEER 2.5 Ton Air Conditioner, added R-410A Puron for the system to cool down.
Checked the evaporator coil and found cased coil shoved in plenum with half coil restricted from airflow. Will return to replace the evaporator coil.
Upon inspection found the outside condenser trying to run but the fan not spinning. Unit will kick on by manually moving the fan. Recommended to replace Condenser Fan Motor (Single Speed) with Capacitor & Fan Blades.
Inspection of malfunctioning Honeywell Pro-Series Thermostat. Found the thermostat installation code set to cooling only. Reset thermostat and system functions properly now.
