Performed a diagnostic service call for a AC unit. We were unable to service customers issue, having electrical issue from panel only getting 97 volts to outdoor unit can’t find breaker in breaker box to shut power off, not sure if it’s tied in elsewhere. Gave customer number of a few electricians, customer will let us know if she needs any assistance from us in future. Not charging service call. Customer understanding. System not operational upon departure.
I found the system not igniting,. I found spark was weak. I cleaned spark rod, now getting spark. I tried to check gas valve pressure unable to open service ports, getting 27 volts to gas valve, based off of this info tech recommended gas valve replacement to correct issue. Customer declined repair at time of appointment and will let us know if they’d like to move forward system not operational upon departure.
completed heating tune up on a bryant gas furnace upon inspection found burner compartment had minor roll out damage I couldn’t perform combustion test due to tool being broke. I performed a visual inspection couldn’t find no cracks. I advised customer that there is a issue with his secondary heat exchanger. Told that his furnace could shut down at any time. gave options system operating at this time
I arrived to do a diagnostic on a lennox gas furnace Upon arrival system off, furnace doors off. Found furnace dirty, replaced with customer’s own. Heat pump and gas furnace, set to emergency heat. Cycled, furnace combusting well. House is now heating, possible sequencing problem between thermostat, relay and outdoor heat pump. Furnace is high efficient, recommend natural gas to be heat source. Found thermostat dropping call for heat, dropping to 16VAC. Thermostat bad, replaced and cycled monitored system operating normally
