Homeowner devises system has had freon adds to it by dad 2x in the last month. Visual leak test does not find any oil in mass at any one location. Outdoor coil on right side halfway up may be leaking, will test with electronic leak detector. Test of indoor coil does not find any oil in pan or visible leaks. Txv fitting is known to leak, but doesn't visually indicate any leaks, will test with electronic leak detector. Electronic leak test of outdoor unit does not find any leaks and detector did not go off at outdoor coil location. Test of indoor coil does not find any leaks. Soap bubbles on txv fitting does not find any leak either. Only other suggestion would be to add Cliplight leak seal with UV dye. The system would have to be full of freon to work correctly. Test of system freon levels findsvery normal, but system running high suction temps. Added 2.25 lbs R22 freon with leak seal and UV dye. Watch system and advise. Unit now running per manufacturer recommendations.
