A home goods store in Valencia, CA, received a report from their electrician about blown fuses on one of their commercial air conditioners. Our technician arrive and pinpointed RTU #3 with a defective disconnect switch. Switch is shorting out and causing the compressor to single phase and blow fuses. The tech checked the electrical continuity at both compressors and blower motor and found no issues. The compressor harness plug was melted, showing signs of over heating. Will need a new compressor harness plug and disconnect switch. Sourcing parts, will quote needed repairs to customer, one unit non-operational.
