I cleared a clogged main sewer line using a camera inspection system. First, I ran the self-leveling Ridgid SeeSnake camera head through the 4" cast iron pipe to locate the blockage, which turned out to be a mass of roots about 50 feet from the cleanout. With the obstruction identified, I then utilized a Ridgid K-5208 drain cleaning machine with 5/8" x 100' cable and full rear bearing bulb auger to skillfully bore through and remove the rootmass. A final camera inspection confirmed the line was fully cleared. The homeowner's drain is now flowing freely again.
