Inspection: Outdoor unit is 8 years old, running R-22(old) refrigerant. Indoor unit is 15 years old. System pressures indicate an overcharge of refrigerant. System is achieving an 18 degree temperature split. Indoor unit has rust on evaporator coil, and the case of the air handler. There is rust on the knuckles of the coil and drain ports Due to the rust on the evaporator coil, leaks could form. The indoor equipment does have a float switch installed. There are water stains on the wood starting at the supply plenum and running the length of the supply plenum and spreading past all sides. This can be caused by coils freezing, drain lines clogging, and/or failed supply plenum insulation. Ductwork is in overall good condition, some ducts are sagging or pinching, potentially restricting airflow. Lineset insulation on outdoor unit is failing.
