Fall pm on 12/31/ 19 On arrival For Unit #1 I sanded the flame rectification probe and checked burner arrangement the ignitor homes out to be in good condition checked all other electrical connections set unit to call for heat measured supply and return air temp measured voltage and amps inspected electrical connections checked drain checked filter and checked blower motor checked all other electrical connections checked temp rise DT 39.8 made for 35-65 unit tested unit operating normal at this time. Unit #2 set the unit to call for heat measured supply and return air temp measured voltage and amps inspected electrical connections checked drain checked air filter and replaced checked coil checked blower motor also checked condenser unit outdoor checked electrical connections checked compressor capacitor checked voltage and amps measured pressure and temp and they are ideal indicating zero leaks checked all other electrical connections unit tested unit operating normal at this time. Service return call On arrival set unit to call for heat no noise coming out from outdoor unit turn off the unit checked electrical wires checked electrical connections checked compressor capacitor compressor capacitor is low I suggested to replace it now to avoid future problems checked coil checked fan motor also fun blade turned on the unit unit start operating very smoothly without any hesitating or lag checked voltage and amps the fun motor also the compressor unit operating normal I tested the unit multiple times no noise at all. Up on arrival for no heat call on 12/27/2019. Found condenser fan motor is not working. Started diagnostics, found orange fan wire was shorted and broken in half . Spliced wire together put wire cap and electrical tape as of now due to customer financial situation. Give estimate of new capacitor 370v 70/10 uf to customer. Customer paid for electrical repairs 267.00 by check .
Up on arrival performed fall maintenance on 11/21/2019. Checked all thermostat for operation, checked all system for operation. Changed all air filters, checked all electrical components, took delta T on all systems. All systems operating normal at this time.
On arrival set both units to call for cooling. Measure return temperature, supply temperature, amps, and voltage. Inspected electrical connections, replaced filters provided by customer, cleaned condensate drain line, and condensate drain pan, blower wheels are clean evaporator coils are clean. I found defective blower motor voltage absorption system for unit #2. I replaced it and tested it. Units are operating normal at this time.
I brought with me a 2 inch coupling and a small piece of 2 inch pipe. I cut the exhaust pipe where it screws into the furnace because 2 of 4 bolts were rusted out. I removed piping from inside the furnace and cut pipe above the furnace where I joined the new piping. Installed new Goodman exhaust pipe. Made all connections with primer and glue and made sure all drain line connections were back in place and secure. Cleaned up the area. Job complete.
On arrival inspected entire systems on heat and cool.found units in bad shape.found both indoor units motor leaking oil,which is a sign of failure .also both voltage absorption systems are weak .basement coil is rusted .in addition to ,the second floor outdoor unit is low on refrigerant (r22) and the hard start kit is leaking oil as well .units are 13 years old better to replace systems instead of repairs .
Service call on 01/16/18 On arrival set unit to call for heat unit is not operating normal fun motor running but no heat checked electrical connections checked drain checked flu pipe found the pressure switch stack open gave quote for customer accepted replacing the pressure switch tested checked electrical connections checked voltage and amps unit operating normal at this time.
