Technician was very knowledgeable and polite

Our only suggestion would be for the office to call back and let the client know that the technician cannot make the appointment scheduled due to solving problems with the current client. The office had called to say the technician would be on his way. When he didn't show up, I called the office to find out why he hadn't showed up yet. This was around 5:30. Other than that, everything was great once we got things straightened out.

Chris Brown has to be the finest Technician we have ever dealt with!

I cannot express the appreciation my wife and I have in having Chris as today's tech. He is the most personable, responsible and tech savvy man we have ever worked with. Before leaving, my wife expressed to him how for the last 4 yrs. our master bedroom was excessively hot. He took the time to get reading from each vent to find that they were reading 115 degrees. Evidently a real problem. He went back into the attic to find that there was a major breach in the AC Duct leading to the bedroom. No one but Chris took the time to see where the problem was. In fact, one tech from Swift 3 years ago told us to add a return to the bedroom, which would have cost over $500 and not solved the problem. From now on, Chris will be the only man we will want to service our unit. If he leaves Swift, we leave with him.

Response from Swift Services Heating & Cooling:

Robert Prosser is excellent!

Robert Prosser is an Excellent serviceman in every respect! Convenience issue because we had to wait too long for an ordered part.

Response from Swift Services Heating & Cooling:

Hi Laura, glad to hear Robert took excellent care of your Air Conditioning unit. I am sorry for how long you had to wait for the part, we do not like to wait either. Unfortunately, sometimes we are stuck at the hands of the parts dealer and there is nothing we can do. I am glad to hear the part arrived and Robert did an excellent job getting your unit back on track.

Seasonal maintenance was performed to ensure safe and proper operation of the HVAC system. As documented by our notes and discussed with the homeowner we found the system low on refrigerant charge earlier this year at the end of the summer. With the age of the system a refrigerant leak would warrant system replacement. During my inspection today I found that the system is functioning adequately. At this time the homeowners need an estimate on system replacement, however they want to wait until January or February. Brief maintenance data gathered is as follows: Return air filter status: Clean at this time, Tested “10KW” Using half - 5KW heater: 20.49 amps, Tested safety switch: Pan switch, Tested 10uf blower capacitor: 9.6mfd, Monitored system pressure: 275psig Head pressure with Subcool varying between 20°f and 15°f at different points during operation, Conditions during maintenance procedures: Conditions include but are not limited to, an outdoor ambient temperature of 37°f,

Seasonal maintenance was performed to ensure safe and proper operation of the HVAC system, todays testing was conducted in the heat mode. At this time the system is able to heat the home, as reinforced by a measured supply temperature of 118°f. I discussed with the homeowner a number of things the system needs to prolong the life of the system including, an SS2, new duct work, etc. Maintenance data gathered is as follows: Return air filter status: Helped homeowner change the air filter, Tested 10KW heater: Operating safely, Applied coil spray and algicide to cut bacteria and scale, Inspected accessible duct work: Duct work is functional but in poor condition, Checked wire connections, Tested safety switch: Pan switch, Manually tested system defrost, Monitored system pressure.

Upon arrival I greeted the customer and started my work. I first started by checking and the filter to ensure they were clean I then put the systems into heat. I then started with the up stair unit, witch seemed to be in good working order. My temp rise was good, all my electrical components were in good shape and getting proper voltage (heat kit amps good) the coil is clean and I was also getting a good static pressures. After that I made my way down to the condenser to inspect it. I soon found that it was also in good working order. Refrigerant pressures are good, amp draw and electrical components are normal (defrost is good) and cap tested perfict (35/5) And I cleared the drain. After that I cheked the down stairs system. Inside the air handler I found that all electrical components are working well including the heat kit (pulling proper amps). Temp rise was good and the coil is clean. After that I made my way down to the condencer where everything seemed to be in good working o

Seasonal maintenance was performed to ensure safe and proper operation of each HVAC system. Testing was conducted in the heat mode based off of the outdoor conditions and the weather to come for the winter. Maintenance data gathered is as follows: Return air filter status: Discussed the filters with the homeowner who stated that they will need to changed them soon, Applied coil spray and algicide to both air handlers in order to cut bacteria and scale growth and development, Inspected accessible duct work, Tested 10KW Heater of the Downstairs system: 41 amps, Tested 5KW Heater of the Upstairs system: 21.92 amps, Checked wire connections, Tested safety switches: Pan switches breaking yellow, Cleared both primary drains, Tested dual run capacitor Downstairs system, Tested dual run capacitor Upstairs system, Monitored system pressures for the Downstairs system: 105psig Suction, Monitored system pressures of the Upstairs system: 110psig Suction, Conditions during maintenance procedures:

Upon arrival I greeted the customer and she showed me the problem. Around most of the vents on the first floor of the house is bacteria build up. So after checking the system over including checking static pressure and refrigerant pressures I could find no fault with the system. In order to stop the bacteria growth, a uv light and a duct cleaning would be necessary. Customer has not agreed to makeing repairs today. System is operating normally at this time.

Seasonal maintenance was performed to ensure safe and proper operation of the HVAC system. Testing was conducted in the cool mode based off of the outdoor temperature while also testing the electronic heat kit to prepare for winter. I discussed adding the Blue Tube UV system to the air handler to prevent bacteria growth which the homeowners declined at this time. Maintenance data gathered is as follows: Changed (20x30) return air filter provided by the homeowner and cleaned the filter grill of dust outside, Delta T: -17°f (Temperature drop across the evaporator), Applied coil spray and algicide to cut bacteria and scale, Inspected accessible duct work, Tested 8KW Heater: 36.43 amps, Checked wire connections, Tested safety switch: Pan switch, Cleared primary drain, Tested 45/5 dual run capacitor: 46.32/4.97, Monitored system pressures: 117psig Suction with a Superheat of 20°f, Conditions during maintenance procedures: Conditions include but are not limited to an indoor wet bulb of 64

Re-cleared drainline system is draining. If problem persist removal of old pvc and installing new traps will be the answer.
