Price is to reroute a leak water line from the water to heater to the washing machine. We will also be setting the water heater on a new water heater stand.
Cooling maintenance on an 8 yr old trane condensing unit. System is operating well. Noticed a slight smell coming from the contactor which usually is the coil beginning to fail. Tested low voltage/contactor and every thing checks out.
Cooling maintenance on a seven year old maytag. Found a leaking suction side shrader and an higher than rated start up amp draw. Recommend a condenser coil cleaning also as the visual inspection of the condensing coil showed a build up of dirt.
Leak was located, customer chose to dig up themselves. Recommend replacing entire pvc main with a copper main, more durable and reliable material,to avoid any other leaks. Gardener could dig and backfill, Thompson would just install water service for 3k.
Customer called us out because he had water underneath his kitchen sink. When I arrived I ran the faucet for several minutes and did not see any water leaking from anywhere. I filled the sink up and inspected the drains but did not see any water. I ran the garbage disposal and again, no water leak. After approximately 15 minutes no water leaks appeared. I cut the backboard out and drywall to inspect inside the wall. Everything in the was was dry as well. Finally we discovered that the leak was coming from the kitchen faucet sprayer. It would only leak if you moved the faucet head . If it was stationary nothing would happen. I tighten it down and explained to the customer that he might need to replace the faucet or call the manufacturer to get a new faucet or repair parts. He will monitor the faucet and call us back if he sees any water leaks.
AC Maintenance and Heating maintenance completed on 18 yr split gas 2.5 ton Trane system; cleared condensation drain line, filter inspected, and cleaned condenser coil; no recommendations at this time; all components operating properly and within manufacturer specifications.

Thompson Plumbing Heating & Air Conditioning came out to provide an estimate for the installation of a client supplied water heater. Client has WH on hand and is looking for estimates at this time.
Thompson plumbing provided estimates to install new 40 gallon water heater up to code. Install new water heater vent. Replace two exterior hose bibs. Replace washing matching supply lines. Thompson plumbing checked hallway bathroom for water leaks. Thompson plumbing ran water down tub diverter and showerhead but did not see anything leaking from the plumbing. Thompson plumbing did take pictures and video of tiles in hallway shower with large cracks from the tub to the ceiling. Thompson plumbing believes the water is seeping through the cracks and getting into the walls causing moisture. Thompson plumbing did locate large amounts of moisture behind shower valve near access panel. Thompson plumbing recommends restoration and remediation to dry out.
Estimate to replace the furnace. When entering the house I noticed the sound of water running, traced to the master bedroom toilet and found the flapper stuck in the open position. When it comes to the hvac system there are estimates for repairs, furnace replacement and furnace + ac replacement. Vents in the garage have been dry walled over and recommend a drywall contractor to handle the issue from start to finish.
Customer currently has a 50 gallon water heater and is looking to replace with a new tankless or a hybrid heat pump unit. It appears that his electrical panel is full and might need to be upgraded in order to supply energy to the new hybrid water heater.
Customer has a 50 gallons gas water heater and would like to install a new 66 gallon heat pump unit. The unit will require a new dedicated 240 v outlet from the electrical panel. Price is for parts and labor.
Failed lennox communicating thermostat. Replaced thermostat with a nest and switched system wiring to 24v.
Garbage disposal motor is burnt out. Thompson plumbing believes it’s from overloading disposal. Thompson plumbing was out last week to service drain and noticed food inside the disposal and drain. Thompson plumbing replaced garbage disposal. Ran water to test for leaks. No leaks found. Cleaned up work area. Took pictures. Heating maintenance on an eight year old lennox furnace. Found a inducer motor run cap leaking oil, replaced run cap to prevent issues in the future. Blower wheel is due for a cleaning.
