Wonderful and thorough!

Jeff was wonderful. He took time to explain the issues that may arise with my old system. He looked at every aspect of my rather hodge-podge HVAC, and he gave me some great tips to help it function better until the time comes to replace it.

Very good service, and did a great job!

Pumped down system took out old TXV and replaced it. The service tech diagnosed it and declared that needed fixed. We pressure tested the system for leaks. It sat at 330. And than pumped down system. Added refrigerant to make sure it’s where it should be. Temp splits were where they should be. Informed the customer that it will take into the evening for the home to cool down to the desired temperature.

AC tune up refer to health inspection report. Filter dirty, history gathered filter was replaced in December, so only 4-5 months of use shouldn’t make the filter look as dirty as it did. There’s likely a fair amount of dust and debris in the return ductwork that ideally is cleaned up thoroughly to keep filters clean and overall equipment and home air healthier. There are things that can also be done to help keep ducts cleaner and home air more clean in the long run by adding in an Air Purifier. Equipment is running well with no problems at this current time there are some proactive measures we can take to help keep equipment running longer and protecting the warranty status of equipment. Recommendations being wet switch given close proximity to water heater and surge protection for both indoor and outdoor equipment and a hard start to keep compressor motor healthy and strong. Recommendations refer to estimates.

Came out for a prepaid msc ac tune up. Found the filter was clean and being changed regularly. Found the LRA on the compressor is high due to not having a hard start kit. This will prolong life of compressor. Found all electrical components are testing properly and working properly. Found temp split was at 26 difference due to home not having a heat load. See health report card. System was working properly when I left the call. I installed a 3.5 hard start kit today.

AC tune up refer to health inspection report form. There is some dirt and debris in the evaporator coil not copious amounts we will want to keep an eye on it avoid efficiency problems that it can cause if left to get dirtier. Static pressure is high, return pressure a little high and across the filter. This can be addressed by adding return and/or making the necessary adjustments to drop a larger filter and an airbase to the equipment. Unit is under a porch and could possibly cause some airflow problems for the compressor itself especially if it recirculates expelled air, warmed air, back into the unit. Unit is cooling well and there’s no sign of being issues with its functionality. Unit does not have surge protection to help mitigate problems with surges that can have a very negative effect on equipment especially equipment with control boards. Recommendations refer to estimates. **Tech Note did find a small leak coming from ceiling in mechanical room. Recommend investigating

AC tune up refer to health inspection report. System is running and performing well. There are some things we can address for code problems the furnace and water heater does not have sediment traps this is a relatively new code change and would recommend this to be done for both appliances to get up to code. Proactive measures would recommend having surge protection installed on indoor and outdoor equipment to keep equipment safe from potential surges. Given close proximity to water heater it would be recommended to have a safety wet switch installed to keep equipment protected in the event of a draining or water heater failure were to take place. Some mild pitting on contactor outside this happens as equipment ages we will want to continue to monitor its health or we can look at a contactless contactor. Equipment does not have a hard start in use to help keep the motor windings for compressor healthy by keeping the amp draw low on the initial start up. Recommendations refer to esti

Call for gas issues. Found a small leak at the gas valve. Pulled gas pipe out resealed pipe, threaded it back in tested for gas after fixing no gas detected unit able to heat appropriately on departure. Recommend getting sign up on maintenance schedule to keep equipment running strong and true for the next couple years.

Came out for noisy duct work for bathroom. Found the duct work is real thin and not insulated. Duct work size is 15” by 5” need about 20’. We need to replace duct work and insulate it. Gave options to do both or just insulate it. While I was here noticed water heater vent was not hooked onto water heater I hooked it back up. I also noticed air scrubber bulb was burnt out. Gave options to fix this and msc club. Today went with msc club. Duct work only make noise in heat mode. System was working properly when I left the call. Hvac system is 2014 same with water heater.

Today I came to see why the filter is whistling. The filter was a merv 10. She. Is going to use merv 8 filters. She has a zoned system. The static pressure is high when only one zone is open. If the noise issue comes back then they will need to have a comfort specialist come and give estimate to releave pressure in the supply air when only one zone comes on. They do not have a hard start on the outdoor unit. Today I did a msc prepaid 29 point ac tune up. They bought 12 - 16x16x1 filters.
