Completed the installation of a kitchen fire suppression system, positioning nozzles over cooking appliances to ensure optimal coverage. Integrated with a reliable control panel, this system utilizes a chemical agent to swiftly suppress flames and prevent the spread of fire. All components were tested and calibrated to meet NFPA standards, providing effective protection for commercial kitchens.
Recently conducted fire extinguisher servicing across multiple locations, adhering to NFPA 10 guidelines. This involved conducting hydrostatic tests on pressurized units and refilling those that were discharged or low on pressure. Each extinguisher underwent a thorough inspection for damage and functionality, with any necessary repairs or replacements promptly carried out to ensure compliance and readiness for emergencies.
As a technician, I led the implementation and training on the use of Kidde Pro 210 fire extinguishers across a corporate office. This involved strategically placing extinguishers for optimal accessibility, demonstrating proper handling techniques, and conducting live fire drills. Employees were educated on the PASS technique: Pull, Aim, Squeeze, and Sweep, ensuring preparedness for potential fire emergencies.
